There's a new brazilian in town, and it's at Salon Lydia

Salon Lydia and Ryan Christensen bring you . . . the Brazilian Blowout

PROFESSIONAL SMOOTHING TREATMENT
resulting in
smooth, healthy, frizz-free hair
WITH RADIANT SHINE.

Unlike traditional straightening/smoothing methods, the Brazilian Blowout actually improves the condition of your hair rather than damage it. No harsh chemicals nor formaldehyde is used! The entire process is done in 90 minutes.

These gorgeous results last up to 12 weeks.

How does it work?
1. The surface is prepared - hair is washed with a special anti-residue shampoo designed to avoid stripping colored hair.
2. Towel dry hair so it's about 75% dry.
3. Brazilian blowout professional solution is applied to hair section-by-section.
4. Blow-dry hair with a round brush to get hair as smooth as possible so the flat iron will glide through the hair.
5. Hair is then flat ironed (with a special iron) to seal the product into the hair.
6. Rinse solution from the hair with water only, no shampoo.
7. Apply Brazilian Blowout deep conditioning masque, rinse.
8. Apply Brazilian Blowout daily smoothing serum.
9. Blowdry and style as normal
VOILA!!!!!!

Before and Afters:

The entire process is done in 90 minutes.

These gorgeous results last up to 12 weeks.

As a special, Ryan will be offering the Brazilian Blowout for $175*
*Longer, thicker hair will be more

Shellac Mani - 14 days of red, unchipped nails? Yes please!

Does 2 weeks of perfectly polished, natural-looking nails sound too good to be true? Kind of, but it's real! A combination of a base coat + color coat + top coat = shiny nails for weeks. After each application (base coat, two color coats and top coat) your nails are zapped under a UV light for seconds, drying the application.

Could this mani look any more perfect? Perfectly "polished!"

Sherrie did such an amazing job on this shellac mani! As a perfectionist, Sherrie gave an absolutely incredible shellac manicure.

Call Sherrie Bearden today to book your shellac mani and see for yourself what all of the fuss is about!

Need a Cut & Color? Wait no more, call Kayra today!

Our talented Stylist Kayra is offering her clients, and new clients alike a killer deal. Book a color with her for this week or next week and receive a complimentary cut! This is a fabulous deal you do not want to miss!

Kayra's passion lies in color... getting you the perfect color is her speciality. Kayra most often uses
Redken Fusion. Color Fusion uses dye molecules that interact with your hair's natural pigment to create a final haircolor. Permanent color won't rinse or wash out. Because permanent haircolor formulations actually enter the hair shaft, it is important to use a conditioning color system such as Redken Color Fusion or Color Gels. (Redken). Uh, sounds pretty fabulous, right?
Kayra uses the AG Hair Cosmetics product line on her clients. Her customers consider the products a miracle! How can you not love a product line who created their goods with the idea, "use. love. repeat." in mind?

While Kayra loves doing all styles of cuts, she has been told she has "magic hands" when it comes to a-lines.

Come and check out what all of the fuss is about!!!

Chin-length bob... perfect style change for the new season

Long hair, short hair and possibly no hair, Jennifer Love Hewitt is gorgeous! She has recently debuted her new bob, inches and inches and inches shorter than her previous super-long 'do. I love the texture of the big curls. This style is so great on her long, slim face shape. I do absolutely love long hair, but this darling textured bob makes me reconsider.

Ponytails... here, there and pretty much everywhere

I LOVE ponytails- done right they look great at the gym full of spunk and energy, they look great at work low and loose and they look great out with a "fancier" outfit made from loose waves paired with the perfect accessories.
The ponytail has totally evolved from the days of NO bumps and scrunchies to a now more sophisticated look that can be worn literally everywhere.
I often hear people say, "I don't wear ponytails because I just cannot do them." What? Yes you can! I really do love ponytails. Yes, they are great for the days you skip out on washing your locks, but they are also ideal in freshly cleaned and curled hair, equaling a ton of volume and a fresh feel. My ponytails look best on the days I have just blown out my hair, add just a little wave with my 1.5" iron, a little bit of back combing in the back then put up in my handy elastic and... voila! Off to work, dinner or a night out with my fab pony!
Long ponytails are gorgeous but I love short ones too!

I love the loose waves framing the face on the pony below... this can totally be a dressy pony, or look perfect with a pair of jeans too.

All of the hair pulled back and volume looks fresh and sleek.
Bangs are thee pony's perfect accessory... it helps the look to be "done." Blunt and straight across the forehead or long and side-swept... they look fab. Wrap a small section of your pony around the elastic and secure with a bobby pin or two to cover the elastic and finish your pony off nicely.

Loosely pulled back with a ton of bouncy curls... great for a more formal event, or not!

I love where this pony sits... it is kind of cheerleader ish, and it's great. It is just so spunky!

Here is to a season of ponytails!!!

Ooh La La, Love That Messy Do

The messy up-do... the updated version of that oh-so-tight prom do from the 90s. Loose, wavy and ultra feminine. The loose up-do is perfect for your red carpet event, a night out with a sexy cocktail dress or even paired with jeans and a fun top.

Check out the Oscars' Red Carpet messy hair... still perfectly elegant but not too precise. This is what's up this year!

Even the all down styles were full of body and waves... no straight hair!
